Green Juice Day

image1Did you know between the third and fourth week of January most people admit that they have broken their New Years resolutions… Since getting healthier tends to be the number one resolution, today we are here to help you get back on track!

January 26th is Green Juice Day! Now we all know the importance of ‘getting our greens’ but sometimes it can be hard to have enough green vegetables or fruits with your meals every day… Drinking green juice is a great way to help!

Green juices are made up of those fruits and vegetables which are full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins and you can sometimes get your days worth of these in just one serving of juice! Green juice has been shown to increase your energy, aid weight loss and boost your immune system! Sounds great doesn’t it?

Here’s a simple green juice recipe to get you started!

  • 1 stalks of celery
  • Handful of romaine lettuce
  • Quarter cucumber
  • 1 apple
  • Half a lemon

This recipe is both sweet and sour because of the combination of the apple and lemon. Celery is rich in minerals like magnesium that help in relieving stress, also since this is a diuretic, it helps flushing out toxins from the body! Enjoy!
